I saw this bird fishing along Island View Beach in Saanich. I suspect it's a Peregrine but I've never seen one before. Could someone please assist?

That's an Osprey. I've never seen a peregrine either!

I never considered an Osprey. It was marvellous to watch it fish.

We saw an Osprey in an very unusual place today. On a tree inside Van Dusen Gardens.

If you walk around the UVIC campus, you're bound to find a Peregrine Falcon. That's where I saw my first. Good luck!

That Osprey in Van Dusen has been there for years - he eats fish out of the ponds! Smart guy :lol:
