The ABA's magazine "Birder's Guide" October 2016 issue has a feature article on local Vancouver birder Yousif Attia and his Canadian birding team "Anous Birding Syndicate" that went down to Texas for a Big Year.

Texas has a long history of big days and Yousif and his team got 271 species on April 18, 2015 and the second Big Day record for Texas, just behind the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's previous record of 294! Extremely impressive! I am heading to Texas in April so it was interesting to read about the places they visited.

Congrats to Yousif and his team! Through this big day they raised almost $10,000 for Bird Studies Canada.
