Hi Bill,

You are correct that is an immature Cooper's Hawk and the shorebird is a Greater Yellowlegs.

Here are 2 helpful articles to help you differentiate between Sharp-shinned Hawks and Cooper's Hawks and between Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs.
