1st bird - appears to be an empidonax flycatcher (empid), possible Pacific Slope Flycatcher

2nd bird - possible Western Wood-pewee

Here are some online resources that might be of help in these IDs

Second one is a western wood pewee. As Kevin said the first one is tough since it's an empid. The eye ring doesn't look right for a Pacific-slope flycatcher. I would consider dusky especially since they are passing through on good numbers right now. I'm assuming you didn't hear it vocalizing?
