From friend's back yard in Departure Bay, Vancouver Island. She did not make a measurement but she says the nest was quite small, could put it in the cup of your hand.

The gray feather with black band and pale tip looks like a mourning dove tail feather. That does not mean that species made this nest, of course, it seems a bit small for that and using finer materials. Chickadees are cavity nesters so unless someone/thing pulled this out of a cavity I don't think it would be a chickadee nest.
