I know the species, but am curious about the bands as some work has been done to make field sightings easy. So I went to Google and found some websites that all directed me to the same URL. There was a form to fill out and I did so and clicked on "Save". Nothing obvious happened and I did not find a table indicating where these bands were applied. I also gave my e-mail address and never received any acknowledgement. Because this species migrates such long distances I am curious about their history. For example, do East Coast birds sometimes fly north via the West Coast?

Anyone know anything about these coloured bands? (Red Knots from Bottle Beach)
