Hi -

I am having some trouble telling dowitchers from snipes:



Is this Long-Billed Dowitcher or a Wilson's Snipe... or something else? This bird was alone in the big (south) pond at Reifel, August 24.

And the second one - female Yellowthroat?



Also at Reifel August 24, near the tower.

Your first photo is a Long-billed Dowitcher, Wilson's Snipe are quite distinctive!

The second bird is a Yellow-rumped Warbler female in fall plumage many of the warblers
are hard to ID due to moulting and fall plumage.
