Birding in BC Community

These little brown stripy sparrows are confusing me a bit.

Song Sparrow?


Fox Sparrow?


Unfortunately they were all keeping quiet.

Have I got them right?

Your first one I think is a Savannah Sparrow and your second one is a Song Sparrow.

I was thinking Savannahs had more yellow in the face. I guess I can't rely on that...

Yes I agree with Jason. Savannahs often have yellow lores but not always.

For the first one maybe a Lincoln's Sparrow? The markings on the head kinda look like one - but Savanna is possible as well.

A Lincolns Sparrow would have a dot in the chest and the striping on the face is a little different! Great idea though!
