I took this photo the other day of some Dunlin out at Blackie Spit. There is another smaller bird in front of them on the right side of the photo. It has been suggested it is a Western Sandpiper. I wonder though because of the size in relation to the Dunlin if it might be a Least Sandpiper. Any thoughts??

Well it wouldn't be Least because its legs are not yellow enough, but it does look good for Western in my opinion.

Western Sandpiper Length: 5.5-6.7 in (14-17 cm)

Least Sandpiper Length 5.1-5.9 in (13-15 cm)

Dunlin Length 6.3-8.7 in (16-22 cm)
