While we were at Piper Spit we saw 5 sandpipers mixed in with the Long-billed Dowitchers. I think they are Least Sandpipers based on colours and the slight downturned bill, but I am not great with sandpipers.

Here is a couple of photos of the sandpipers. Thoughts?

I’d say Dunlin in winter plumage but shorebirds aren’t my strong point either

Yeah with that long, drooping bill they must be Dunlin.
