I first saw this bird on June 13 @ 9:24 PDT and have seen it several times since in the general vicinity. [48.69701331N; 123.58852922W] which is near Cherry Point Park on Garnett Road near Cowichan Bay. I originally thought it was a Mourning Dove however I have compared it to my iBirds app and the closest match seems to be a Eurasian Collared-Dove.
My issue is that I don't see it on any of my SVI bird lists and the app shows it as being resident in the southern Gulf states.

If anyone is able to confirm that it is or isn't a Eurasian Collared-Dove I would greatly appreciate it.

It is a Eurasian Collared Dove. They are in Southern B.C. and expanding their range.

I first noticed them in the Winter near the Boundary Bay dyke. Then I started noticing them throughout Delta. Took a few photos of a flock foraging in a field.

Then a few days ago I stumbled across one at Iona Beach.

Then on Friday I came across one foraging on the ground near the Warming Hut at Reifel.

Expanding rapidly, it appears. (I did see a pair of Mourning Doves on Westham Island recently, but never any inside Reifel.)

It turns out that there are approximately a dozen in the area. Thank you both for your assistance.
