 Post subject: Mourning Dove at Island View Beach?

Caught this bird in Central Saanich, Vancouver Island today. Wasn't sure what it was but suspect a Mourning Dove....not very common here? Can anyone confirm or know of other sightings? Thanks, Susan.

Your right, fairly common in the lower mainland, not sure on the Island (but probably similar population numbers). I saw one yesterday, Eurasian Collared Dove seems to be more abundant these days though.
