Birds of Western North America a photographic guide - Sterry & Small (Princeton 2009)

A deluxe field guide full of eye candy as seen by ace bird photographer Brian Small and a bunch of other photogs.
Clean modern design, crisp pages and a flat smooth finish to the cover make it a pleasure to behold.
The overlapping of photos is sometimes a bit overwhelming but the quality of shots is unbeatable so far as i've seen.
Nice job, an Eastern guide is also available.

Coming in a bit late, thanks for all the future reading materials.....saves time browsing. :D

I'm currently reading The Bird Watching Answer Book - Laura Erickson. Lots of fun facts! Who knew that migrants seek the chickadees, who know everything about the food sources in their area, and don't mind the company. (or sharing, apparently)

I will look forward to those quiet winter evenings of reading.
