Thought I'd pass on a traffic alert that we (at OWL) received:
72nd Street, between Churchill and 36th, will be closed to all except local traffic between 7 am on Monday, Dec. 5th and 7 pm on Friday, Dec. 9th. This includes the fields and the huge "eagle tree" at the turf farm. If you want to access the Boundary Bay dike from 72nd you will have to detour via 64th to 36th and then 72nd. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed on the east side of 72nd, but I wouldn't if I were you because it's going to be a big mess. They are replacing a culvert and due to the extent of the work involved it requires a full road closure.
We're supposed to get a couple of good sunny days next week so this is a heads up for you if you plan to do any birding out that way.
