Our views of Virginia Rails have mostly been fleeting ones, so we were surprised today when we came across one beside Terra Nova in Richmond having a good feed of frog. It probably speaks of the need for winter fuel that the Rail was more out in the open than usual and seemed unbothered by the parade of passing humans on the road above. Bryan took a couple of camera videos and pictures. I'll post one of each.
