There is a robin (younger but I think older than a fledgling) sitting in my yard that won't fly but is still breathing. There are no nearby windows so I don't think that is the problem. Is there anything I should do... or do I just leave him alone and see what happens?

Maybe a fledgling. I saw an older robin come to feed him. I've had to chase away a Northern Flickr a couple times. My yard has no cover for him to hide anywhere.

If it is a fledgling, it may spend a few days on the ground before learning to fly. I would leave the bird as interference could mean its end. Parents feeding is a good sign.

Thanks. I let him be and kept an eye on him while it was in my yard. He went under the fence to the neighbors yard , so his fate is out of my hands now. I can finally leave the window. I did see the parent come back twice to feed him so as long as the cats don't get him tonight then I imagine he'll be fine.
