Nov 14, 2017-Time to keep an eye out for Snowy Owls. Nov 13 reports one in Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) on eBird and Nov 13 one in Vernon (Weather Network picture gallery). Our sightings may not happen until December but likely areas in Victoria are: West Bay Walkway near Spinnakers, the Breakwater and streets heading up from that in James Bay & Downtown, Government House, Colquitz River Park, Uptown Mall and the highway coming in from Nanaimo and any house with a chicken coop. Any other areas? Good luck.

Nov 22, 2017 Wed-14 degrees today in Victoria, soon to get colder again.
Snowy Owls reached the coast Nov 14. 4 unconfirmed sightings in Richmond. one confirmed sighting at Boundary Bay/72nd St access Nov 20 on Vancouver eBird.
Nov 21 one at Williams Lake airport and one at Swan Lake North in Vernon.
None reported on Vancouver Island yet but it's quite likely to happen soon.
