 Post subject: Viaduct Flats, Panama Flats & Colquitz

Jan 14_2018 a sunny Sunday.
took the 8:30am bus to Viaduct Flats, then walked back through Layritz to Panama Flats and into Colquitz River Park
Viaduct Flats: Canvasbacks, Gadwall, Common Mergansers, Buffleheads, Red-winged Blackbirds
Panama Flats-you need rubber boots. the water is so high it's running over the path. or you can view by slipping through the fence on Carey Rd
-Peregrine Falcon on the stag tree 10:53
-flock of Cedar Waxwings at the Hyacinth entrance
-Trumpeter Swans
-Northern Pintail
-Eurasian Wigeon
-Red-tailed Hawk
-Bald Eagle flying with prey
-Turkey Vulture
-bunny kill on the path (an owl in there somewhere)
Colquitz River Park-the water is at its highest
-Barred Owl sleeping
-2 yr Bald Eagle (fly-over)
-lots of anna's hummingbirds, Finch, Red-shafted Flickers etc
