on the Weather Network photo gallery 'birds', Doug Gilles of Kamloops reports an influx of Rough-legged Hawks in the area. the recent snow in Prince George is probably chasing hawks south. his beautiful set of flight shots here.

I only see one photo with the bird taking off and it's actually a Red-tailed Hawk not a Rough-legged Hawk.

Rick Howie reported 14 Roughies in the Stump Lake Area on Nov 14th. That's quite an abundant number.
