A Mockingbird was reported at Kamloops a few days ago by Marina and Ken Lipinski. The bird continued in their yard up until yesterday.

The NOMO was seen feeding on red crabapples by the access road to Kamloops Lake in Tranquille. All the land on the north side of the road is private and please do not trespass.
This is on Tranquille Rd right below the old abandoned buildings.

The bird was seen again today in the same location by Dave Whiting and Isaac Nelson.

Your shot is beautiful Isaac! That is so cool you saw the bird! Was it a lifer? Funny it's in the same spot that Chris Chalersworth found that Magnolia Warbler this year. You should keep checking that spot you never know what may turn up next !

Thanks Mel! It was not a lifer, as I have seen one in Ucluelet, but it was only the second time I've ever seen one! Yes that patch of bushes is good for birds! The only uncommon bird I've seen there other than the mockingbird was two White-throated Sparrows two months ago but WTSPs aren't very rare around here.

Isaac of course, how could I forget! I was on the Wildresearch trip with you and remember that rainy day you saw your lifer NOMO! That was great fun.
