A male Lesser Goldfinch was found two days ago in Merritt.

Alan Burger had the Lesser Goldfinch today was at the same location 1721 Hill Street, Merritt. The owners of the property are aware that this is a rare bird and are OK with people coming by, but there is no need to go into their property - the feeder and the birch tree in which the bird likes to sit are just metres from the road and clearly visible without entering the property. Please be respectful of this.

Murphy Shewchuk photographed the LEGO today in his yard. I will check with him if this location is open to the public and post more details if it is.

Murphy Shewchuk's home is not open to the public but the bird seems to be visiting feeders on the south side of Merrritt and Colletville so residents and birders should keep their eyes open.

The LEGO was seen this afternoon at the original location of 1721 Hill Street. It was not at the feeder but feeding on birch catkins in the front yard. It was loosely traveling with House Finches.

Mike Force et al. had the continuing Male Lesser Goldfinch at the feeder at 1890 Hamilton Ave in Merrrit. The feeder can be viewed up the front driveway from the road and is open to public.
