After much searching we determined that today’s sighting could only be a yellow shouldered blackbird. But it is native to Puerto Rico. Where can I send a picture for confirmation? There were three birds at an elevation of 3000 feet near Kamloops

Post it somewhere and send a link... I'm curious! :D
That's what i'm thinking Adam, an odd defect.
The chance that these birds would somehow make it all the way up here is remote to say the least but stranger things have happened, but then again, what are the chances that 3 birds would have the same "defect"? :)
