Novice bird observer here...today I saw what looked to be a heron or egret flying low in towards the river in Westsyde. I've seen plenty at the coast, but not in Kamloops before. It was a large bird and predominently white with grey streaks on wings. From research it suggests it may be a great egret or a white phase Great Blue Heron. Any ideas what I might have seen? Any other sightings of a similar bird recently?

I'm thinking Great Blue Heron. Not gonna see the Great Egret that far north ... especially in the winter.
