Have seen one in the canyon just south of Barriere, one in Clearwater, only sightings living in this district in last seven years.

Here's a coincidence for ya. Last couple of mornings have heard a cheery song emanating from a cottonwood tree about 40 yards from my house. Today id'd it as a Lazuli Bunting. Here's hoping I have a nesting pair hereabouts. What a beauty!

Hi There,

I was birding in the south Okanagan this past weekend and saw 2 Lazuli Bunting on my last day (Vasuex Bluffs). According to the checklist I picked up from the South Okanagan Naturalists Club they are listed as "fairly common". (The checklist was a great resource for me and was only $2)

Beautiful Lazuli Buntings are as common as Robins in Shuswap Lake (Roderick Haige Brown Prov Park Area)
