I have had a pair of flycatchers nesting on our porch. I am very unsure, as I could swear from listening to bird calls and looking at numerous books and photos online that the birds are yellow-bellied flycatchers, but from what I can see they don't tend to come this far south and west. I looked closely at the dusky flycatcher, but these have very distinctive yellow bellies. Any ideas? I have somewhat decent photos of one of the parents, and really great photos of the 3 babies just before fledging, but I'm not sure how to go about posting them. Here are links to some of the photos I posted on facebook. ... nt_count=1 ... =3&theater ... =3&theater
They look like Yellow-bellied Flycatchers to me, but they may be Pacific-slopes. Sometimes they are very yellow underneath. The bright green back of your birds confuse me though. :?

It's cool that you have flycatchers nesting in your yard; regardless of the species. :)
Thanks everyone! I'm sure you're all correct about the Pacific-Slope! I had overlooked it to begin with because I was looking an an older book which only listed it as breeding along the coast and not this far inland, but I see now that other books and online sites show them coming over this way! Thanks so much for the help! :)
