On vacation here in beautiful downtown Kaslo and took a short trip up to the Kaslo Airstrip to explore a little bit, and one of my hopes was to see a Mountain Bluebird, given the terrain and location. I saw a flash of blue flit across the field off the end of the airstrip and in spite of the overcast and spitting rain, I got some decent identification photos of a Mountain Bluebird! The rest of my vacation here is now bonus time, and maybe if I can get up there when the sun comes out later this weekend, I might give this location another try.

Beautiful bluebird shot.

Lewis Gannett said "A man who never sees a bluebird only half lives."

Cheers.

Great shots, I'd say the 2nd one in particular is much more than just an i.d. shot!
