Location: Northern Columbia Valley, BC
I spotted a Short-eared Owl in the Wetlands near Golden BC. This is pretty rare for this region and is the first I have ever seen. It was cruising through wetland fields for an hour or so, apparently hunting mice and the like. It was beautiful :)
Just thought I would let people know of this bird sighting, though there are very few people from the Kootenays that are on here.
