This morning I was out along the Squamish River Spit and parked at the windsurfer's parking area. As I got out I saw a small bird drop over the steep side of the parking area but when I peered over the edge I couldn't see the small bird but found a Wandering Tattler sitting on the rocks below. I think this is the first record of a Wandering Tattler in Squamish. Here is the video I took this morning. Sometimes You-Tube does not show the video in the highest resolution so for a clearer video - click on the little gear icon and choose 1080p resolution

Here is another video of the Wandering Tattler taken later on the same day when it was very windy so is not too steady but it shows the tail bobbing action better. I checked the location yesterday and could not find the bird so I am afraid it was just another one-day-visitor.

I’m confused. How many years ago was this?

Yup, Stilt Sandpiper.

GHO from this morning.

Lovely shots, Keith.
