The day before yesterday, saw 3 Black-headed grosbeaks: checked a female Black-headed several times, then I heard the calls, “there could be more,” I said to myself. Then I got a good look at 2 young males :D before they were gone.
This year saw Black-headed grosbeak at Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park in May, in June, in August and heard one singing in July. :lol:

from low branch dropped into water to bathe,
A female MacGillivray’s warbler,
A female Western tanager,
Gray back,
2 flycatcher,
Bewick’s wren,
Northern flicker,

Black-capped chickadee,
young White-crowned sparrow,
Cedar waxwing took off?
European starling,
Yellow-rumped warbler,
