Hi there. New to the board and relatively new to birding in general.

I just wanted to say what a great location Trout Lake is in East Vancouver for bird watching.

So far I have seen there:

Tree Swallows
Violet-Green Swallow
Barn Swallows
Canada Geese
Common Merganser
Hooded Merganser
Lesser Scaups
Northern Shoveler
Ring-necked Duck
Pied-billed Grebe
Double-crested Cormorant
Bald Eagle
Cooper's Hawk
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flickers
Golden -crowned Kinglets
Ruby-crowned Kinglets
Orange-crowned Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warblers (Myrtle and Audubons)
Dark-eyed Juncos
Brown-headed Cowbird
Red-winged Blackbirds
Great Blue Heron

and your usual suspects of gulls and crows.

Anyhow, it's nice to join the board and I love birding.
