Stanley Park Herons are arriving

We were in Stanley Park yesterday and noticed a good number of blue herons are setting up at the colony (Beach Avenue entrance and park lane - behind the Park offices and around the tennis courts). It seems they are a little earlier than usual but with the trees yet to bud, you have great views of their nests.
