There is a bushtit nest in the rosebush next to my kitchen window. The momma and poppa have been very busy bringing food to the nest - I'm sure the chicks have hatched although I haven't seen them. This morning I saw a squirrel on the roof of the house next door eyeing the nest and moments later it was right up against the nest. Not sure how it got there--many ways it might have done so. I banged on the glass and it fled, but now I'm concerned that it will destroy the nest. I've placed a live animal trap on the ground next to the bush, but other than that, any ideas about how to protect this nest?
