Hi, my name is Patrick and I just arrived in Vancouver. Will be here for 7 weeks and would like to know if anybody is looking for a birding partner. We can share gas and I will probably wont have access to a vehicule because of the Olympics. I'm in Downtown Vancouver. First time in BC so any area will be new to me. Anybody wants to show me around? Thank you.

Hi Patrick, i'm sure you will be able to find some people to go birding with.
Being in downtown you are pretty close to Stanley park, some good birding on the seawall and around Lost lagoon, good place to start

I am in Victoria and if you plan on visiting southern Vancouver Island, I could show you some of the birding areas over my way. Let me know if heading this way is on your agenda. Birders usually want to see the Sky Larks because it is the only place to find them regularly in North America (excluding Hawaii).
