We are heading to Sooke next week for a well earned rest.
I always have great luck at Whiffin Spit. Just wondered if there is anyone on the forum who is local to Sooke area, and can tell me what you have been spotting there the last week or two? Thanks!

It has been about three weeks since I was out at Whiffin Spit but I doubt much has changed since then. Highlights from that trip were a small group of Brant, a Long-Tailed Duck hanging out in close with a flock of Surf Scoters and 5 Western Meadowlarks. I think we finished with about 30 species for the day and that was without scoping the ocean. Best of luck! Let us know if you find anything of note!
