Things have been incredibly dead around here lately so I spent the morning at Neck Point Park hoping to find the Horned Owl but no such luck. I did manage a few good images of a small group of what I think are Least Sandpipers but I am not sure if that is what they are. (Identification help welcomed) I also watched a Great Blue Heron fishing along the shoreline for about 20 minutes before it finally caught a good sized bullhead.

Hi Debra,
I have been using a Sigma 500mm f4.5 for about 3 years. These images were all with the Sigma 1.4X teleconverter as well. I have been using the Sony a77 since it was introduced and I hope soon be upgrading to the Sony a77 Mk2. The reviews have shown a significant improvement in focus speed and lower noise at higher iso's.
