Went out onto the Squamish River Spit this morning to film my favourite hummingbird. This Rufous is probably the same one I have filmed on the same branch for the last three years but I never get tired of watching it. All the photographers like this bird because it sits right alongside the dike road and they don't even have to get out of their cars to photograph it. Another male Rufous kept dive bombing this one while it was preening. Still lots of bluebirds along the spit - I counted 23 this morning - about 10 were only 10 metres away while I was filming this hummingbird
