The Red-eyed Vireos arrived after the Warbling Vireos. They have a subtle elegance about them.

While out at Brunswick Point I met someone who said he had seen a male Bullock's Oriole flying. Joined by two others we watched for him to re-appear. A female flew in and started to feed on the nectar of the Blackberry flowers. We did hear a scold call from cover, but did not find the bird. The others left, but I lingered. Finally I gave up too and started to continue my walk when suddenly the male flew right acrss the path at waist height and landed to allow a good view.
