On the 5th of Dec. I was with the Delta Naturalists group on the Semiahmoo Spit and we came across a Shore (Lodgepole) Pine at the marina parking lot that was just bouncing with Red Crossbills. They were quite placidly feeding while everybody gathered around to shoot pictures. I went from a library with a few blurry off in the treetop pictures to many taken from close at hand.
