I captured some footage of a few nuthatches that seem to be picky eaters.
Even though the feed is mostly sunflower seeds and peanuts, they still filter through it all looking for just that right one. Kind of funny. I've see this before with other birds but never this intensively with these nuthatches. Interesting behaviour.

the chickadees do that at my feeders as well, junco's that mostly feed on ground don't mind though, almost like they help each other out
