There must have been a Herring spawn offshore at Neck Pt. in Nanaimo because hundreds of Surf Scoters & Bonaparte Gulls were feasting on the eggs. Even a Scaup got in on the action.

Cool! I've been thinking to go to point bob to witness the herring spawn.... I still need to see a BOGU and a HADU this year - I really miss seeing them!
