I got this guy yesterday at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo. I spent about an hour trying to get a
clear shot of him as he flitted around the tops of the trees, so it's not the best shot.
I think he was laughing at me.

It took me many years to get anything decent, good thing about them is that this time of year you hear them before you see them, very distinctive song.

Nice one Gary, I have been chasing these guys at Buttertubs this year but they seem to be harder to get than last year. There was a lot more of them last year and they were really easy to find and the were not nearly as skittish as they are this year. Well done!!

Thanks, everyone, I met some serious birders at Buttertubs ( no cameras, just binoculars and books )
and they told me to listen for, what sounds like a Robin on steroids. They were right.
