New to this lark. A pal of mine who is a birding guide based in Peru (Gunnar Engblom) suggested I try a Nikon Coolpix P900 as a first birding camera. As I know zip about cameras and less than half that about how to aim them at anything, I took his advice. These were literally the first two shots...well, ok, after a few practice Mallard... taken two weeks ago in Nelson BC.

Looks like the camera works. Now it's just me that needs sorting out. Watch out, Glenn Bartley.

Thanks Rob. Close-ish to the park, more to the west of that along the path locally known as the dog-walk. Runs by the airstrip. Good for birding. Pity about the dogs.
