Hi there. Yesterday, I was happy to see the Eurasian Wigeon at our local lake is still situated and interacting with the other plentiful American Wigeon's there. He does appear to be the only male in the whole place. After mainly staying far out in the lake center he came in for a short time to the side and I was able to get a better shot of this attractive duck, as did a pied billed grebe which usually dives as soon as I approach!

A lone American Bald eagle was there too, fishing successfully. The red winged blackbirds were out in number and creating a cacophony, I've never seen such a large number. I saw a yellow warbler too, unfortunately too far away for my lens and a couple of golden crowned Sparrow. I also saw a bird I've been unable to ID. Thrush size, white stripe across eye and mainly lightish mottled brown, slightly streaky? It was getting very dark, for a minute I thought female Varied thrush but it was far less spectacular with no yellow. Any idea's, I'm drawing a blank so far. Thanks, Paul.
