I am new to this birding community, and posted this photo, which showed up under "News" topics. Here it is again under the heading 'Bird Photography'.
Trumpeter Swans, together with a handful of Tundra Swans are over-wintering in Delta, BC. Photos taken November 9, 2012 on farmland in Delta, BC Canada.
There are a few Tundra Swans hanging out with the Trumpeter Swans and I noticed fights breaking out. It wasn't until I reviewed my photos that I realized there were two kinds of swans in this flock. The Tundra Swan is being pecked at by the Trumpeter Swan and is distinguished by the yellow marking on its beak.
