This was my nemesis bird in the Amazon - our guide kept pointing them out - dark, little shadows fleeing deep into the bush, right up until our last day there when this little one stayed out on the trail - still haven't figured out which Tinnamou it is though! :lol:

WOW great pictures,
Last summer, I have heard 2 species of tinando hundereds of times, and never seen one, these are horrible birds, they frustated me intensely!

The Hoatzin birds have bizarre shape and striking colours. Their spiky rufous crests reminded me of the Roman soldiers helmets. Awesome photos!
