Nice photo, you get some great ones.

I hardly ever see any gulls near vancouver other than glaucous-winged and on a couple of occasions ring-billed. Does anyone here know of good places to see other species?

I did see what appeared to be a Heerman's Gull at the ferry terminal once and I have seen Bonneparts on a couple of occasions.

Howdy,

Iona can be good for gulls, as can Boundary Bay. In winter, the fields near Hwy 10 between 88th and 96th St, and on the other side of Hwy 99 behind the Tim Horton's are awesome places for gull watching.

Outside of the lower mainland, the Parksville - Qualicum areas on Vancouver Island offer fantastic gull watching in March and April.

good gulling,

Yeah I forgot to mention those two places. I have actually been gull watching at the same Tim Hortons.
