I was down on the waterfront, non-birding, but I am sure glad I took my 50-500mm along for the ride.

Barrow's Goldeneyes on the beach, drinking from a freshwater stream. Cropped to 16 x 9 format.

A Barrow's and a Common male - didn't quite get this on the nose, but I'm keeping it anyway.

And another 16 x 9 crop of four Surf Scoter males -

I expect these will be my last of these ducks for this season - they'll be on their way shortly.

All with the Olympus E-5 / Sigma 50-500mm
