I booked today and tomorrow off work ages ago when i thought my Costa Rican buddy Alex was going to fly up from Thailand to come do some shooting with me, turned out he almost died from a lung infection and the doctor told him he couldn't fly for 6 months, so he couldn't come up but i still took the days off work

Drove out to Pitt Meadows this morning and it was a nice start to see two Sandhill cranes flying above Swan-e-set.
Other birds seen included a Mourning Dove on a wire, numerous Rufous hummingbirds, Caspian terns above, Yellow warblers, Common yellowthroats, Orange-crowned warblers,

Wilson's warblers,

and a handsome Bullock's Oriole 8)

I was almost run over by two rambunctious orioles racing down the trail when they cut in front of me suddenly, for real! later i got a brief look at one of the speeders

hmmm, where to tomorrow?

Nice shots! Those Bullock's have been tough for mo too. Maybe try out Campbell Valley there is lots of Yellow Warblers and the odd Hutton's Vireo and that would be a lifer. Seen a few Pacific-slope Flycatchers too. You can see the locations I got them on the map on flickr.

Nice work. You picked some nice days to get off work. Heard it might rain on the weekend.

Great work on the Wilsons Warbler. You exposed the black cap perfectly!
