Is this a Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker? Looks more orange, but doesn't look red like the normal ones around here.

It does look a little less red than our local ones but that could be the lighting. If anything, I think it could be an intergrade. If it were a “pure” yellow shafted it would have a red nape patch. In any case it’s a female (no mustache (malar) stripe of any colour).
Interesting.
Is this some kind of thrush?
