Coastal birders - I am out of my depth on this ID.
This plover was observed this morning in Parksville (at the Englishman River Estuary). I've had a look at some references and am inclined to go Pacific Golden Plover but everything in the references seems to be "relative". My ID is on the basis of "relative" primary visibility / tertial length, "relatively" long femurs, "relatively" longish neck, "very slight" projection of the feet beyond the tip of the tail in flight, but I would really like an expert second opinion from someone intimately familiar with the two species...
Thanks in advance.
